The annual Powder Puff game between the Seniors and Juniors ended in a scoreless tie for the second year in a row. The game was more exciting this year as the girls tried several trick plays and threw the ball downfield often but both defenses were strong and nobody scored. Thank you to everyone for coming out and supporting the Walnut High School Football program.

The annual Walnut High School Powder Puff flag football game is this Thursday at 6pm. Girls from the junior and senior classes will be playing against each other. Tickets are $5 from any off the football players and can also be purchased at the gate.

In honor of spring football getting started and our graduating seniors, we recently added the highlight video shown at the varsity banquet from a few months ago. Leave a Comment (0) →We have sent home with our players 2 tickets, one for Texas Hold’Em and one for Bunco and we also sent several flyers for goods to be donated so we can make baskets for raffles. All money and basket building goods are due tomorrow Tuesday 23rd. The money can be sent in with your player and be given to Coach Tom Roach.
We will be waiting on Tuesday from 5:30 – 6:00pm when you pick up your player by the Bunco & Texas Hold’Em sign (where the trash cans used to be) so you can drop off the goods for the raffles. At that time we will also accept the ticket money if it was not given to the coaches earlier. We will also be in Coach O’Shields classroom G1 from 6 to 7:30pm.
We also have a DJ! Thank you for your cooperation.

A message from Paula Tsukada, organizer of the Bunco and Texas Hold’Em event on Saturday, April 27, 2013:
Dear Parents,
Our Bunco & Texas Hold’Em is just around the corner! Our Parent staff is very excited and we feel like we are busy bees working to make this event a very successful one for the Football Program. We are counting on everyone of you to help us make it a great one. So please plan on being at the Senior Center that day.
We will be able to meet and play Texas Hold’Em with our coaches, eat great food and hopefully we will find a DJ so we can Dance! To me dance is the most important part of the evening besides getting to know and talking with one another.
We have included the basket flyer that already went out last week and will also be in your son’s (or daughters) backpack today. Please make sure we get all the goods by Tuesday the 23rd so we can put the baskets together for the 27th.
If you know of a DJ, please have them contact us! Yes, this is a volunteer thing, but it can easily be turned into great community business. Please, please, help us, or the evening will just not be the same.
